El Caballito

I've been tasked with blogging more. We've had technical issues with our camera lately. This is a makeshift dance video I did with the girls. The video is pretty long and not that exciting. If you are low on patience I highly recommend forwarding to 3:19 on the video. Lillian starts lip synching to this fine Mexican music.

Tonight I deep fried Tilapia. It was delicious. I simply covered the filet's in whole wheat flour, dipped them in egg and then rolled them in ground matzot. I honestly expected them to not be that spectacular but after trying a bight I felt like I was in a Friday night fish fry from Wisconsin. I told Lillian, "Hurry, wash your hands, come try this fish, its delicious". After washing her hands, Lillian made it to the table and announced, "I like your chicken daddy". I told her that I was please that she liked it. I eventually made it to the table myself after cutting some up for Miriam and tending to some other items in the kitchen. After sitting down and having another bite, I complimented myself again by saying "I really like this fish". Lillian then began to tell me how she doesn't want to kill any fish and she doesn't want to eat fish. She went on to say she doesn't want to eat any animals. I told her about how there are people who don't eat animals and they call themselves vegetarians. She declared right there, "I'm a vegetarian". "Vegetarian's save animal's lives and I'm a vegetarian." As a side note, she has great compassion for all living things. the other morning a spider, that was much larger than my comfort level , appeared in the kitchen. I went for a can of Raid and you'd think I going to commit crimes against humanity the way she reacted. So after dinner and further discussions about Vegetarians, Lillian asked if she could have some chicken broth. I told her that chicken broth comes from chickens. I said, "do you want to eat chickens?" She responded that it is wrong to eat animals, but it is okay to "drink" animals.
