This afternoon at lunch Lillian's leg fell asleep and I told her her leg fell asleep. She said, but I don't want to take a nap. At dinner, I was talking about how some people are trained by their parents to behave well while others aren't. She said, trained like a choo choo train? After dinner, Clayton and Lillian were singing Shabbat prayers that end with "amen". She said, why not a-girls? That's my little feminist. :)

Miriam's 4 months statistics

Miriam went to the doctor on Tuesday and got her vaccinations. She is now 12 lbs 9 oz and 24 3/4" long. Her head is 15 3/4". She is in the 25th percentile for weight and head circumference and in the 75th percentile for length. The doctor said she is doing well and I don't need to supplement with formula so that he thinks she's gaining well. She remains on the same growth curves very precisely.

We also started not swaddling her. She was getting out and its dangerous to have the blanket in the crib if its not tight so we transitioned her this week. She can now sleep in the crib without the blanket.

Our best news though is that last night she slept from 10-4:49! That was the most she has slept in one stretch so far. Usually we're up every 2-4 hours depending on the night and time of night. For instance on Monday night she was up at 8, 1, 3, 7. I can remember those times because I paid attention so I could report to the doctor on Tuesday as I know that is a question they ask.

Miriam can roll over multiple times in a row now and immediately rolls to her stomach and lifts her head if you put her on her back. She can now be in the activity center and really enjoys her baby einstein activity center from Aunt Harriet. The doctor said she's almost sitting up by herself now. Overall we think Miriam is a sweet, snuggly baby that we just want to eat up! :)

The weather here has been perfect cooler weather this week and it makes me think about getting some warmer clothes for the girls. Pretty exciting.
