Our little drummer!

We had a busy weekend. Saturday I worked for the first part of the day while Valerie and Lillian hit the beach with Nana (Alice). After that, they stopped by Grandaddy's (Bill) for a dip in the pool. Valerie packed and picked me up from the library shortly after one. We then headed to Sarasota to have dinner with Valerie's grandparents Great Grandad and Great Gran to Lillian. We had a wonderful dinner and good company. Lillian tried to catch "kitty" the cat and had no luck but enjoyed the pursuit. We then went to our friends Lynda and Tom visit and spend the night. Lillian had fun with their Brittney Spaniel "Trevor". The highlight of the trip for me, because I love attempting to play percussion, was when Lillian insisted on trying Tom's drum set. She loved it and this video shows some of the footage. She had no instruction, a pure natural. I also posted some footage of truly wonderful drummers, animal from the muppets and Buddy Rich. Maybe she'll be on that track.

After Lynda and Tom's we headed back over to Valerie's grandparent's condo for brunch and more good company. After brunch and a nap, we headed to Tampa to visit with some other friends we haven't seen in a while. Bharat Pudi. We were hoping to meet his new beautiful wife, but she was out of town visiting family. We did get to visit with one of his best friends from high school who he hadn't seen in 9 years Kalyan or "Kaloo". Both of them were enchanted with Lillian and let her watch all sorts of fun videos and children's shows on the computer. Bharat also briefly serenated Lillian on the guitar, however Kaloo's lure of letting her use his computer won her over. We spent the night at Bharat's and then headed to visit Katrina, her mother, sister and other friends/relatives in Orlando. Busy day and trip, it was nice seeing friends we haven't seen in a while.
